SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the second straight week, San Diego swept the Credit Union One West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors. Samy Kanaan won Credit Union One WCC Offensive Player of the Week while Donovan Parisian claimed Credit Union One WCC Defensive Player of the Week accolades. The Toreros have now claimed four of the first six Conference awards of the 2024 campaign. 
 
CREDIT UNION ONE WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – SAMY KANAAN, JR., F – SAN DIEGO
Samy Kanaan collected a goal against No. 24 Washington, as well as the game winner on the road against UC San Diego. In his two games last week, Kanaan totaled six shots in 151 of the 180 minutes of game action. With his goal in the 78th minute against the Tritons, it marks the second year in a row that Samy has netted the game-winner against the team's crosstown rival at the end of the second half.

CREDIT UNION ONE WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – DONOVAN PARISIAN, SO., GK – SAN DIEGO
Making his second start of the 2024 season, Donovan Parisian picked up the 2-1 victory for USD squad over crosstown rival UC San Diego. He collected two saves while facing seven Triton shots, allowing one goal. He also came up with an impressive bicycle kick save to keep UC San Diego off the board early in the match. This is the second straight week a Torero goalkeeper has won this award.
