SAN BRUNO, Calif. – San Diego picked up three major awards as the West Coast Conference announced its 2025 men’s soccer all-conference and major awards on Wednesday.
All six individual awards and the all-conference teams were voted on solely by the Conference’s 10 coaches.
The all-conference first team is comprised of a specific position format of three forwards, three midfielders, three defenders, one goalkeeper and one "wildcard" spot given to the student-athlete remaining with the most votes regardless of position.
San Diego won its conference-record fourth straight West Coast Conference men's soccer championship and three conference major awards. Brian Quinn was named the Coach of the Year for the third time and second straight year. He led the Toreros to a Conference record of 7-1-1 and a 13-2-3 overall record. Quinn's guidance led to San Diego earning a national seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament, receiving a first-round bye as the No. 9 seed. In addition, Lucca Adams won Goalkeeper of the Year and Ethan Warne won Defensive Player of the Year to add to the Toreros' trophy case this year.
Adams, a redshirt freshman transfer from UCLA, posted the league's best goals-against average at 0.47 and allowed the fewest goals among all West Coast Conference goalkeepers with six. Adams gives the Toreros back-to-back Goalkeeper of the Year recipients after Donovan Parisian won it in 2024. The Toreros have won this award three of the last four years (Jason Dubrovich in 2022).
Warne is USD's first Defensive Player of the Year honoree since Trevor Dillon in 2022. Behind the defense led by Warne, USD only allowed 14 goals this season, the second fewest in the league. In conference matches, the Toreros only allowed five goals, the fewest in the league. Six of the Toreros' nine conference games resulted in shutouts.
Oregon State's Arnau Farnos won his second straight major award in the West Coast Conference. A year after being tabbed Midfielder of the Year in 2024, Farnos won Offensive Player of the Year in 2025. This is the second straight year a Beaver won Offensive Player of the Year after Sergi Solans won last year. Farnos led the conference in goals and points and was also one of the best in the nation in those categories. His 14 goals ranked tied for sixth and his 37 points ranked tied for fifth in the nation.
Diego Rosas from Portland won Midfielder of the Year. He played in all 17 games with 16 starts, amassing 16 points on one goal and 14 assists. He secured two assists on four different occasions, including twice in the last three games and three times in the last five games. He notched a goal and an assist against Gonzaga. The last time a Pilot won this award was Nick Fernandez in 2023.
San Francisco's Ben Norris won Freshman of the Year. Also an all-freshman team selection, Norris finished third on the team in points with eight. He started all 16 games he played. Norris tallied goals against Pacific and Saint Mary's. Norris becomes the first Don to win this award since Nonso Adimabua in the 2020-21 spring campaign.
The four positional major award winners were also named to the all-conference first team. Portland led the way with four honorees on the first team with the Toreros right behind them with three. Oregon State and San Francisco each sported two on the all-conference first team. Portland's Joe Highfield, Farnos and Warne earned the all-conference first team accolades for the second straight year.
