COLUMBIA, Mo., - Washington State cross country garnered three All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo, highlighted by the third-place finish in the men's race by Solomon Kipchoge.
Kipchoge's teammates Evans Kurui and Rosemary Longisa also garnered All-America accolades. All runners who finish in the top 40 in the NCAA Championship meet earn All-America honors.
In the men's 10K race, Kipchoge, the 2025 West Coast Conference men's individual champion and NCAA west regional champion, made a late surge in the second half of the race to shoot all the way up to third with a time of 28:40.1. Kurui paced his team for most of the race before following back towards the end. He crossed the finish line in 17th with a time of 28:51.9. As a team, the Cougars placed 17th with 491 points.
Portland featured an individual runner with Jonas Price placing 65th with a time of 29:21.1.
In the women's 6K race, Washington State finished in 27th place as a team with 602 points. Longisa, the 2025 West Coast Conference women's individual champion and Freshman of the Year, finished in 27th place with a time of 19:14.6. Her teammate Zenah Cheptoo was the conference's second-best finisher in 66th place, crossing the finish line at 19:41.5.
Gonzaga featured two individual women's runners - Logan Hofstee (94th, 19:55.3) and Jessica Frydenlund (148th, 20:12.4), while Anna Buettner from San Francisco placed 118th with a time of 20:02.4.
