"The real thing that I want to get into is the stories and the players and the people in this league because I do think that there are some really interesting human beings that are in this conference that deserve a bit more publicity and a little bit more hype than they've been getting." - Rob Dauster

Oregon State's Josiah Lake II is the featured guest on the first edition of the Field of 68's West Coast Conference Insider. Oregon State opened the 2025-26 season with a 67-65 win over North Dakota State on Monday. Lake II finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, an assist and a steal. "A lot of the work happened during the offseason. In the spring, the coaches told me I have to be vocal, I have to be a leader, I have to communicate. They stayed on me all summer. I've always been a more lead-by-example type of player. So the vocal part hasn't been a part of DNA. So that's something I've been learning how to do since the spring. I'm still trying to get better at it." - Josiah Lake II
