SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Battling tough competition at the ITA Indoor National Championships, San Diego swept this week's Heluva Good Dip West Coast Conference Men's Tennis Players of the Week. Oliver Tarvet won Heluva Good Dip Singles Player of the Week, while Adrien Berrut and Nikhil Niranjan won Heluva Good Dip WCC Men's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week. This is the second time this season that USD has swept Conference players of the week.
HELUVA GOOD DIP WCC SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK – OLIVER TARVET, JR. – SAN DIEGO
Oliver Tarvet went 3-0 during the ITA Indoor National Championships on the No. 1 court, all in straight sets and two wins over nationally-ranked top-58 opponents. On Friday, Tarvet composed a 6-2, 6-4 win over No. 58 Cooper Williams from Duke, which proved to be pivotal in the Toreros' 4-3 win. In the quarterfinals against No. 1 TCU, Tarvet scored one of the team's two points, one of just seven points teams have taken off the Horned Frogs in nine matches this season. Tarvet later won 6-4, 6-2 over No.18 Jack Pinnington from UCF on Sunday as USD swept No. 21 UCF. Tarvet was the one who clinched the match, 6-4, 6-3. This is Tarvet's second Conference singles award this season.

HELUVA GOOD DIP WCC DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – ADRIEN BERRUT, FR., NIKHIL NIRANJAN, JR., SAN DIEGO
The Torero pair went 2-0 over the weekend, helping in a pair of critical doubles points that led to wins over No. 7 Duke and No. 21 UCF in the ITA Indoor National Championships. In Friday's 4-3 win over the Blue Devils, a 6-3 win on the deciding doubles court proved the difference in sending the Toreros to the program's first ITA Indoors quarterfinal. In that quarterfinal match against No. 1 TCU, their match went unfinished at 5-5. On Saturday, the pair earned another 6-3 victory, this time over No. 21 UCF to set the tone as the Toreros only dropped one set all day in a 4-0 sweep. This is USD's second Conference doubles team of the week award this season.
