SAN BRUNO, Calif. - A week after defeating No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 LMU gears up this week for another test against the Bruins on Friday in San Luis Obispo.
LMU will compete in the Center For Care Challenge. The Lions will be joined in the event by UCLA, No. 1 TCU, No. 6 Cal Poly and No. 12 Arizona State.
The Lions are currently 26-4 on the year, and last week's win over UCLA gave the Lions their third top-two win of the season.
Pepperdine is slightly below .500 at 11-12 overall. The Waves battled No. 1 TCU last week and the duo of Emma Eden and Ella Foti picked up a win for the Waves over the Horned Frogs.
In The Rankings
LMU is holding on to it's top-3 national ranking, entering this weekend's action at No. 3 in the latest AVCA national poll. The Lions have been in the top 3, as high as No. 2, for the majority of the season. Pepperdine received votes in the latest AVCA poll.
This Week
In addition to LMU competing in San Luis Obispo, all the West Coast Conference squads will see action throughout the weekend.
Pepperdine will be on the home courts in Malibu, joined by fellow West Coast Conference foe San Francisco, as well as UC Davis, Vanguard and Concordia College.
Portland and Saint Mary's will see action in Boise, Idaho on Friday and Saturday with host Boise State, Arizona and Cal State Bakersfield also in the field.
Pacific will face San Jose State on the road on Thursday and Saturday
