Madrigal And Savoie Garner NCBWA All-America Honors

Madrigal earns second team All-America honors twice

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Eddie Madrigal from Saint Mary's and Nate Savoie from LMU earned NCBWA All-America honors this week with Madrigal securing Second-Team All-America accolades and Savoie garnering Second-Team Freshman All-America recognition. 

In addition to the NCBWA accolades, Madrigal was also tabbed a Second-Team All-American by Rawlings on June 13. 

Madrigal finished the 2025 campaign with a .368 batting average, 21 home runs, 78 RBI and a .698 slugging percentage. After leading the Gaels to the NCAA Tournament after winning the 2025 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament, Madrigal was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Prior to that, he was tabbed to the all-conference first team and was a strong Player of the Year candidate after batting .396 with 11 home runs in Conference games this season.

Savoie was tabbed the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year and also made the all-conference first team as well as the all-tournament team. He helped LMU slug a tournament-record 11 home runs in the West Coast Conference Tournament. He ranked fourth in the league in slugging percentage (.675), third in home runs (20) and fifth in RBI (61).
