Highfield And Adams Win West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Players of the Week

USD earns a conference award after beating No. 20 UC Irvine last week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Helping No. 4 Portland remain unbeaten, Joe Highfield was tabbed West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. San Diego's Lucca Adams took West Coast Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after helping No. 23 San Diego top No. 20 UC Irvine. 
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JOE HIGHFIELD, SO., F – PORTLAND
Joe Highfield scored his fifth goal of the year in Portland's 3-2 win over Denver, helping Portland maintain its unbeaten streak, extending it to 17 games, the longest streak for the program since 1988. This is Highfield's first conference weekly award this season and the third overall for the Pilots.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LUCCA ADAMS, SO., GK – SAN DIEGO
Lucca Adams recorded a pair of shutouts in USD's wins over No. 20 UC Irvine and UC San Diego. Beginning the week against the Anteaters, Adams recorded a save and kept UCI off the scoreboard as the Toreros won, 2-0. Against UC San Diego, Lucca made two more key saves in another shutout, as USD won, 1-0, over the Tritons. This is the first weekly conference award for Adams and the third this season for San Diego.
