SAN BRUNO, Calif. - A matchup between two of the top women's soccer programs in the nation will feature No. 1 Stanford at Santa Clara on Sept. 6 on ESPNU as announced by the network on Thursday. 

The game will kick off at 1 p.m.

Santa Clara, the 2020 NCAA Champions, are eager to get back in the postseason this year. A perennial NCAA Tournament participant, the Broncos are vying for their 35th all-time appearance in the national tournament. 

In a close head-to-head all-time history, Stanford narrowly owns the all-time series record over Santa Clara, 22-18-7. Santa Clara defeated Stanford in double overtime in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament at Stanford.
