• San Diego clinched its third WCC Championship Series title, and its first since 2003. The Toreros earn the WCC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament that begins next week.
• San Diego was announced as an NCAA Regional host site on Sunday, and will host at San Diego State's Tony Gwynn Stadium.
• San Diego's Justin Snyder was named "Most Outstanding Player" and USD's Matt Couch was tabbed for "Most Outstanding Pitcher" honors for the WCC Championship Series.
• This season marked the first WCC Championship Series held at Cunningham Stadium in San Diego.
