SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga's Matt Bouldin and San Diego's Amber Sprague turned in standout performances last week and were rewarded with WCC Player of the Week honors.

Amber Sprague was tabbed for WCC Player of the Week honors after leading San Diego to an 89-83 overtime victory at UC Irvine on Sunday. The junior poured in a game-high 28 points, and recorded a career-high six blocked shots in the win. With her 28 points, the San Diego native moved her career total to 999, just one point shy of becoming the 10th player in USD program history to reach the 1,000 career point milestone. Sprague enters conference play averaging a team-high 17.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest.

Gonzaga sophomore guard Matt Bouldin was brilliant in the Zags' wins over Utah and Georgia. Bouldin started the week with a career-high 26 points on 8-of-11 shooting against the Runnin' Utes. The Highlands Ranch, CO native also added six rebounds and a pair of steals. He followed that up by tossing in 21 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists in the Bulldogs' 75-67 win over Georgia. For the week, Bouldin averaged 23.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, and 1.5 spg, while shooting a blistering 62.5 percent from the floor.
