West Coast Conference Commissioner, Stu Jackson, was featured in a story published by Hero Sports on the role of a conference commissioner in today's collegiate landscape. Author KC Smurthwaite profiles Jackson and his path to becoming Commissioner of the West Coast Conference. 

Jackson refers to "vision, strategy, and culture" as his key takeaways from leaders in his previous roles. A lot has changed in college athletics since Jackson's appointment in the spring of 2023 and Smurthwaite shares how he has navigated the conference as the Commisioner. 

“We are navigating so much more right now, the ball game has changed so much with revenue sharing and name, image and likeness,” said Jackson. “Even when I started, it was just starting to get going. It’s now the center of the conversation, especially as we are centered in basketball at the West Coast Conference.”
