SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2015 West Coast Conference Women's Soccer All-Academic Team. The group is headlined by three student-athletes named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-District 8 first and second teams
BYU's Sarah Chambers earned a spot on the first team for the second consecutive season, while Pepperdine's Bri Visalli and Portland's Parkes Kendrick earned a spot on the second team. Kendrick posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in Mathematics for the third straight year.
Gonzaga's Heather Johnson makes her third consecutive appearance on the all-academic squad, while four student-athletes made their second appearance on the list: Portland's Kendrick, San Diego's Julia Sherwood and Santa Clara's Andi Tostanoski and Julie Vass.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team. This season no fewer than 62 WCC women's soccer student-athletes met the criteria for selection easily outdistancing the 53 eligible in 2014.
