Sixteen from the West Coast Conference earned All-Region honors while BYU's Mikayla Colohan and Santa Clara's Kelcie Hedge earned All-American honors, as voted on by the United Soccer Coaches.
Hedge earns First Team All-American honors after already being named a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist in addition to being name First Team All-West Region, the West Coast Conference Player of the Year, and First Team All-WCC.
She helped lead the Broncos to their most wins since 2005 and their most regular season (16) and nonconference (9) wins since 2001. Her seven goals were tied for second on the team while adding two assists and starting all but one game. During conference play, she led the team with six goals, scoring all six in a span of five matches.
Hedge becomes the first Santa Clara All-American since Sofia Huerta was named to the third team in 2014. She is the first Bronco to take home first team honors since Julie Ertz (Johnston) did it three years in a row (2011-13).
Colohan earns Second Team All-American honors and becomes the 24th Cougar to receive United Soccer Coaches/NSCAA All-America honors after recording seven assists and five goals in 2018. She tallied 82 shots to lead the West Coast Conference.
In addition to being named an All-American, the midfielder received multiple honors from United Soccer Coaches and the West Coast Conference. She was named to the All-West Region First Team, WCC First Team and WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention.
All-Region selections from the WCC include first teamers Brielle Preece (Pepperdine), Hailey Harbison (Pepperdine), Alexis Loera (Santa Clara), Rachel Lyman (BYU), Colohan (BYU), Hedge (Santa Clara), Elise Flake (BYU), Maria Sanchez (Santa Clara) and Kelsey Turnbow (Santa Clara); second teamers Autumn Smithers (San Francisco), Summer Mason (San Diego) and Taryn Ries (Portland); and third teamers Sabrina Davis (BYU), Arianna Pumpelly (Gonzaga), Samantha Jehnings (San Francisco) and Miciah Madison (San Francisco).
Additionally, Santa Clara's coaching staff was named the 2018 United Soccer Coaches West Region Staff of the Year: Release
