#WCCCHAMPS QUICK HITS

  • Pepperdine captured its WCC-record 18th conference title outright to claim the No. 1 seed at the WCC Tournament in Stockton.
  • Billy Wilson of Loyola Marymount ranks fourth among active Division I players in triples (17) and 20th in triples per game (.12).
  • Gonzaga is in the top 15 nationally team ERA (7th/3.03) and felding percentage (2nd/.984).
  • San Francisco's Michael Perri ranks 10th nationally with 22 doubles.
  • Three #WCCchamps participants rank in the top 30 nationally in shutouts: San Francisco (2nd/8), Gonzaga (12th/6) and Pepperdine (29th/5).
  • Gonzaga right-hander Alek Jacob ranks 25th nationally among active career leaders and frst among active freshmen with 6.29 hits allowed per nine innings.
  • Christian Stoutland ranks 13th nationally with 14 starts for Pepperdine.
  • San Francisco's Brendan Jenkins and Gonzaga's Casey Legumina were named to the NCBWA Stopper of the Year midseason watch list. USF's Perri was named to the Brooks Wallace Award watch list.
  • WCC Player of the Year Jordan Qsar of Pepperdine ranks in the top 30 nationally in RBIs (29th/59) and RBIs per game (24th/1.16).
