SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced the WCC Beach Volleyball Pairs of the Month for March. 

WEST COAST CONFERENCE BEACH VOLLEYBALL PAIR OF THE MONTH (MARCH): 
SKYLAR CAPUTO AND ALEXIS FILIPPONE – PEPPERDINE 
 
Skylar Caputo and Alexis Filippone have been instrumental in the Waves’ success throughout the month of March, helping the team to a 13-5 overall record in the month with a 10-5 record against nationally ranked opponents.  The duo has collected a 10-3 overall record since joining forces later in the month, on March 9 against No. 6 LSU when the team won 22-20, 21-14 on court three.  The pair then went on a six-match winning streak before taking their first loss against top-ranked UCLA.  In sets, the duo went 21-9 throughout the month, collecting seven two-set wins.  Caputo and Filippone also collected on three clinches for the Waves in those 13 matches played.
 
After the pairs win over the duo from LSU, Caputo and Filippone went on to take down pairs from No. 9 FIU, No. 7 Cal Poly, No. 13 LMU and No. 9 Long Beach State throughout the month.  Most recently, the duo clinched an exciting 3-2 dual over No. 2 USC at Zuma Beach.
