SAN BRUNO, Calif. – LMU sophomore goalkeeper Jacob Jackson has been named the West Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Jackson added to the LMU school record with his sixth-consecutive shutout in the Lions 2-0 victory over No. 23 CSUN on Sunday night.
Jackson didn’t surrender a goal in either of the Lions contest during the week after the Lions played to a 0-0 draw against UC Riverside on Thursday night followed by their 2-0 victory against Northridge.
During the streak, Jackson has logged a school record 560 consecutive scoreless minutes. With the draw and the victory LMU improved its season record to 5-1-1.
