SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for October 18, 2021.
#WCCSPORTS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – DOMINIC VEGAALBAN, FR., FORWARD – SANTA CLARA
Freshman forward Dominic Vegaalban scored a pair of goals in the 3-all draw against Cal in a nonconference contest on Saturday night. Vegaalban scored in the seventh and 14th minute to give the Broncos a 2-0 lead on assists by Jack Murphy and Joshua Dabora. In the game, three of his four shots were on frame in just 45 minutes of action.
It is the first WCC weekly offensive honor for Vegaalban this season and the second for the Broncos in 2021. Dylan Bartlett secured week four honors for Santa Clara.
