SAN MATEO, Calif. – Fresh off its seventh straight WCC Championship last Saturday, Gonzaga Rowing heard its name called when the NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Committee announced the field of 21 teams that will compete in the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Championship.
The national regatta will be held from May 27-29 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla., with University of Central Florida and Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Associates serving as hosts.
Gonzaga's varsity eight and second varsity eight boats are both seeded No. 18 while the varsity four is seeded 20th. More information regarding heats and lane assignments will follow later.
The Zags are one of 21 teams in the field. Ten conferences were awarded automatic qualification and the remaining 11 slots were filled with at-large selections to complete the championship field.
