SAN MATEO, Calif. – Tabitha LaParl from Pepperdine and Bre Norris from Portland won this week's WCC women's soccer weekly awards with Norris earning Defensive Player of the Week accolades for the second straight week. LaParl's recognition is Pepperdine's first this season.
WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TABITHA LAPARL, SO., M/F – PEPPERDINE
LaParl scored the game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over UC Santa Barbara. She also had an assist on the lone goal against California that ended in a 1-1 tie, giving LaParl three points this weekend. She took eight shots in three games, including three shots on goal.

WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BRE NORRIS, SO., GK – PORTLAND
The reigning WCC Defensive Player of the Week, Norris registered 10 saves in each of the Pilots' shutout victories last weekend, a 2-0 win over Nebraska and a 1-0 win over Hawaii. She helped the Pilots earn their fourth and fifth consecutive shutouts, marking the third time since 2010 they've had five shutouts in a row and the first time since 2005 they've had five in the first six games. Norris boasts four games with at least five saves now on the year.
