SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO - Two West Coast Conference women's soccer players were selected during the 2024 NWSL Draft on Friday. 

Makena Carr of Saint Mary's was the first WCC player to hear her name called. Seattle selectetd the Gael with the first pick of the fourth round, 43rd overall. Four picks later, Santa Clara's Alyssa Bourgeois was drafted by Houston 47th overall. 

The draft selections match the same number of draft picks the WCC boasted in last year's draft when Santa Clara's Izzy D'Aquila and Gonzaga's Lyza Bosselmann were drafted.
