SAN BRUNO, Calif. – West Coast Conference cross country is coming up on a big weekend, with 11 schools running to get set for the conference championships on November 1st in some of the biggest meets of the season.

Washington State men's cross country rank No. 21 in the national poll, while the Gonzaga women's cross country team is No. 20 and the Cougars' women's team is No. 27 in the nation.
This Week
Gonzaga, Portland's men's team and Washington State will travel to Madison, Wisconsin to compete in the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday. Considered one of the nation's premier collegiate meets of the season, the invitational will showcase many of the best programs, with over 30 programs from across the country set to compete. Running is set begin Friday morning at 7:30 am PT.
San Francisco and Santa Clara's men's cross country teams will be heading to Columbia, Missouri to compete in the Pre-National Invitational. With 35 Division I men's programs set to be in attendance on Friday, make sure to watch live on
SECN+ with coverage starting Friday at 8 am PT.
Six West Coast Conference programs will be in Santa Clara on Saturday, as the Broncos are set to host the Bronco Invitational. San Francisco, Santa Clara, Saint Mary's, Seattle U, LMU and Pacific will all be in attendance, with many other programs set to compete Saturday Morning.
Other West Coast Conference cross country events over the weekend will see San Diego and Pepperdine head to Riverside, California to compete in the Highlander Invite Saturday morning. Portland will travel to Salem, Oregon to take part in the George Oja Invitational also on Saturday Morning.
Last Week
Gonzaga swept the team titles at the Inland Empire Classic at Lewiston, Idaho last Saturday. The Zags' women were led by West Coast Conference Runner of the Week Camille Broadbent who finished fourth overall with a time of 17:04 in the 5k race, which was the fifth-fastest 5k time in program history. Gonzaga had six runners finish in the top 20. The Zags' men finished with four runners in the top 15, with Gus Clevenger finishing third in the 8k race.
Washington State also had two women compete at the Inland Empire Classic, with Isabela Alvarado and Kennedy Averill both finishing just outside the top 20, respectively.
Oregon State and Saint Mary's men spent last Friday in Springfield, Oregon, competing in the Bill Dellinger Invitational. The Gaels were led by West Coast Conference Runner of the Week Zane Jackson, who finished 16th overall and was able to trim 24 seconds off from his finish at the invite last season.
Oregon State finished the Bill Dellinger Invitational third overall, with seven runners in the top 25. Leading the way for the Beavers was senior Kate Laurent, who finished seventh with a 20:25.56 time in the 6k course.
San Francisco and Saint Mary's women competed at the SF State invitational last Friday. The Dons were paced by Marlee Kwasnica, who garnered an 11th-place finish out of 129 runners.
