West Coast Conference Announces 2025 Volleyball All-Conference Awards

San Diego nearly sweeps the awards

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – West Coast Conference Champion San Diego collected four major accolades in the 2025 West Coast Conference Volleyball All-Conference awards, as the conference announced its major award winners and all-conference teams on Monday.

All five individual awards as well as the all-conference teams were voted on solely by the conference's 12 head coaches.

San Diego head coach Jennifer Petrie was tabbed the Coach of the Year, while standout Nemo Beach was named the Player of the Year. Beach's teammate Olivia Bennett was tabbed the Libero of the Year. For the second straight year Kylie Munday won Setter of the Year.

The lone major award recipient not from USD was Alana Marrs from Oregon State who won Freshman of the Year.

Petrie picked up Coach of the Year accolades for the eighth time in her career and the third time since 2019. She most recently won the award in 2022, a season in which the Toreros advanced to the national semifinals. Similar to the 2022 campaign, San Diego went undefeated in conference play at 18-0 this season. The Toreros enter the postseason having won 21 of their last 22 matches. As the No. 8 seed in the Lincoln regional, USD is well-equipped to compete on the road as the Toreros finished the 2025 regular season 12-1 in true road contests.

Beach became the first Torero to win Player of the Year since Katie Lukes in 2022. A Torero has now won this award four times since 2016. Beach's 467 kills led the West Coast Conference and her kills per set average of 3.99 ranked second in the league. Beach collected 525 points on the year. She earned West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week accolades on three occasions, as well. Beach was also named to the all-conference first team.

Munday claimed West Coast Conference Setter of the Week honors four times in 2025. She won Setter of the Year for the second straight year after sharing the award with LMU's Mia Schafer last year. Since the award's inception in 2019, a Torero has won it four times now. Munday finished second in the league in assists per set at 9.98. Munday was also named to the all-conference first team.

Bennett is the second Torero to win Libero of the Year since Annie Benbow in 2022. She finished second in the West Coast Conference in digs (440) and digs per set (3.76). She claimed West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors on Nov. 24. Bennett was also named to the all-conference second team.

Marrs was all tabbed to the all-conference first team and to the all-freshman team, as well. She claimed conference weekly honors on four separate occasions, winning Defensive Player of the Week once and Freshman of the Week three times. Marrs finished second on her team in points (290) and paced her squad with 104 blocks.

Among the first-team honorees, four individuals earned first-team recognition for the second straight year - Genevieve Bane (Saint Mary's), Isabel Clark (San Diego), Ella Piskorz (Pepperdine) and Lauren Rumel (Oregon State).
