Macy Hinshaw Wins West Coast Conference Volleyball Setter Of The Week For Fifth Time

LMU's Boerstra tabbed with offensive weekly honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the fifth time this season, Macy Hinshaw from Santa Clara won West Coast Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week honors, while Maddie Boerstra from LMU claimed West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Pepperdine's Tristen Raymond won West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week and Lexi Trapani from Santa Clara won West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week. 
 
WEST COAST CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MADDIE BOERSTRA, GR., OH – LMU
Maddie Boerstra powered LMU to a 2–0 record last week with 36 total kills (5.14 kills per set) and a .338 hitting percentage across wins over Saint Mary’s and Pacific. Boerstra added 13 digs, four total blocks, and 41.5 points (5.9 points per set), leading all LMU attackers in kills, efficiency, and total scoring for the week. In the win over the Gaels, Boerstra recorded 22 kills on 49 swings while hitting .327. She added nine digs, three blocks, and 25.5 points. Her six kills in the fourth set helped secure LMU’s win and complete the season sweep of the Gaels. She followed that effort with another efficient outing in a 3–0 sweep of Pacific, posting 14 kills on .357 hitting, along with four digs and a block. Boerstra’s scoring consistency (4.67 k/s in the match) kept LMU in control throughout, as she registered multiple multi-kill runs and hit over .500 for long stretches of the opening set. This is LMU's first conference weekly award this season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LEXI TRAPANI, JR., L/DS – SANTA CLARA
Lexi Trapani helped the Broncos capture two victories in the final week of conference play over Washington State and Seattle U for their 11th and 12th conference wins, their most since 2015. Trapani totaled 18 digs against WSU and 14 digs against the Redhawks for her 24th and 25th games of the season in double figures. She totaled 32 digs, averaging 5.33 digs per set. This is Trapani's first conference weekly award this season. Santa Clara concludes the season with seven conference weekly awards.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – TRISTEN RAYMOND, FR., RS – PEPPERDINE
Tristen Raymond recorded 32 assists in both of Pepperdine's victories last week over Gonzaga and Saint Mary's. She added 13 digs against the Bulldogs and 10 digs with nine kills against the Gaels. This is Raymond's third conference weekly honor this season and the first time she has won freshman of the week.

Macy Hinshaw led the Broncos to two key wins in the final week of conference play over Washington State and Seattle U for their 11th and 12th conference victories, their most since 2015. Hinshaw totaled 35 assists in each match, averaging 11.67 assists per set. She also added 11 digs against Washington State for her 12th double-double of the season. Hinshaw led the conference with five conference weekly awards this season, all being setter of the week.
