SAN BRUNO, Calif. - A combined 20 West Coast Conference men's and women's basketball student-athletes were recognized on the College Sports Communicators 2024-25 Academic All-District team, as announced on Wednesday by the organization.
Seventeen of the West Coast Conference's honorees came from women's basketball and three from men's basketball.
The 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
The 17 West Coast Conference women's basketball student-athletes named to the team are Yvonne Ejim (Gonzaga), Claire O'Connor (Gonzaga), Naudia Evans (LMU), Maya Hernandez (LMU), Carly Heidger (LMU), Kelsey Rees (Oregon State), Kennedie Shuler (Oregon State), Maisie Burnham (Portland), McKelle Meek (Portland), Trista Hull (Portland), Lainey Spear (Portland), Kennedy Johnson (Saint Mary's), Maia Jones (Saint Mary's), Abigail Shoff (Saint Mary's), Eleonora Villa (Washington State), Jenna Villa (Washington State) and Tara Wallack (Washington State),
The three selections for West Coast Conference men's basketball are Michael Rataj (Oregon State), Jake Ensminger (Santa Clara) and Johnny O'Neil (Santa Clara).
Burnham, Ejim, Evans, Johnson, Jones, Rataj, Eleonora Villa and Wallack will advance for consideration for the CSC Academic All-America Teams, which will be announced on April 15 for the men and April 16 for the women.
