SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the third time this season, San Francisco's Eddison Esquivel won Rawlings West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week. Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week went to LMU's Beau Ankeney. Erik Hoffberg from Gonzaga won Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week for the first time in 2025.
RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – BEAU ANKENEY, JR., INF – LMU
Beau Ankeney collected seven hits during the weekend sweep of Pepperdine. On Thursday, he blasted his 15th homer of the season and finished a triple shy of the cycle. He put together a 3-for-5 performance with three homers in the series finale last Saturday. Ankeney finished the weekend slashing .583/.600/1.667 with eight RBI and nine runs. This is LMU's third time winning Conference player of the week and the first time Ankeney claimed the honor.

RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – ERIK HOFFBERG, SO. – GONZAGA
Erik Hoffberg picked up two saves in Gonzaga's series win over Portland, securing the Bulldogs the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the West Coast Conference Tournament this week. He did not allow a run in two and a third innings of work, amassing four strikeouts in the process. On Thursday, Hoffberg completed the ninth inning with two strikeouts to pick up his sixth save of the season. On Saturday, he entered in the eighth inning with two outs, striking out the final batter to leave the bases loaded. Later in the ninth, he worked around a leadoff double with another strikeout to pick up his league-leading seventh save. This is both Hoffberg and Gonzaga's first time winning Conference pitcher of the week this season.

RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE BASEBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – EDDISON ESQUIVEL, FR., OF – SAN FRANCISCO
Eddison Esquivel led San Francisco to a sweep over Utah Valley last week. He accumulated a .636 batting average, a 1.273 slugging percentage, two home runs, four RBI and four runs. Beginning the series with a 3-for-4 performance on Wednesday, Esquivel recorded two RBI and scored twice. He followed that with home runs in back-to-back games, two RBI and two runs on Thursday and Friday to guide the Dons to the series sweep. This is the third time this season Esquivel garnered Conference freshman of the week (Feb. 24, April 21). He owns all three of USF's Conference freshman of the week awards this season.
