SAN BRUNO, Calif. – After two thrilling ranked victories last weekend, LMU swept this week's KAP7 West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo Players of the Week, announced by the Conference on Tuesday. Tommaso Baldineti was tabbed the KAP7 West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo Player of the Week while Roberto Barrera Sanchez claimed the KAP7 West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo Newcomer of the Week. This is LMU's first KAP7 West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo Player of the Week recognition this season. 
 
KAP7 WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TOMMASO BALDINETI, GR. – LMU
With its first ranked wins of the season, Tommaso Baldineti helped LMU to a perfect weekend while leading the Lions with five goals and seven assists for 12 total points over both matches. In the win against No. 18 Brown, Baldineti picked up a hat trick on five shots while adding a game-high four assists. In its second game of the weekend against No. 19 UC Santa Barbara, Baldineti helped LMU defeat the Gauchos for the first time since 2009, snapping a ten-game losing streak. With a pair of second-half goals and a team-high two steals, Baldineti and the Lions erased a three-goal deficit to earn the victory.

KAP7 WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S WATER POLO NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – ROBERTO BARRERA SANCHEZ, GR. – LMU
Goalkeeper Roberto Barrera Sanchez earned the start for LMU against UC Santa Barbara, setting a season best with a .455 save percentage while matching his season high of 10 saves. In his 32 minutes in the cage, Sanchez was efficient when the Lions played down a man, holding the Gouchos to just 5-for-17 on powerplays.
