SAN BRUNO, Calif. – West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo enters the fourth week of the regular season this week. With conference play set to begin Oct. 5, Pacific currently leads the Conference at 6-2 in nonconference play, with Air Force also having a strong record at 13-5. Six out of seven West Coast Conference men's water polo programs have an overall record above .500.

San José State tied for fifth in the country while Pacific sits at No. 10. Pepperdine (No. 11), LMU (No. 12), California Baptist (No. 14) and Santa Clara (No. 16) round out the West Coast Conference's ranked squads entering this week's play.
This Week
In another jam-packed weekend of West Coast Conference men's water polo action, the Conference has many great opportunities to rearrange the national rankings.
California Baptist will host The Joust Tournament with five matches upcoming in the tournament, including two ranked matchups against No. 7 UC San Diego and No. 15 UC Irvine.
Pepperdine will spend the weekend on the road in the Bay Area, traveling to second-ranked California on Saturday, then fourth-ranked Stanford on Sunday.
Santa Clara will have a lone home game over the weekend against No. 8 UC Davis.
In a two-match weekend, LMU travels south to take on No. 7 UC San Diego tonight, then closes the weekend with
top-ranked
UCLA at home on Saturday.
The lone matchup for San José State sees the Spartans take on Stanford on Friday afternoon.
Pacific will be at home Friday night for their lone game over the weekend, facing off against third-ranked USC.

Last Week
California Baptist, LMU, Pepperdine and Santa Clara all competed in the Overnght MPSF Tournament last weekend in Los Angeles against some of the nation's best teams in men's water polo.
The Lancers went 2-2 at the weekend tournament, which included wins against fellow West Coast Conference member Santa Clara on Saturday, then ended the weekend with a tight victory against No. 8 UC Irvine to secure their fourth ranked win of the season.
The Lions started the Overnght MPSF Tournament strong on Friday, with a win against UC Irvine to move into the winner's bracket for the rest of the weekend. LMU lost to No. 3 California, No. 14 UC San Diego and No. 7 Long Beach State in narrow defeats, including a thrilling matchup in the seventh-place match against LBSU that saw lots of back-and-forth action up until the final seconds.
The Waves finished the competitive weekend tournament with an impressive 3-1 record to claim ninth place. Pepperdine earned wins against the fifth-ranked Division III Redlands, West Coast Conference foe California Baptist and finished the weekend with a victory against No. 9 Princeton.
The Broncos concluded action at the Overnght MPSF Tournament by making history. In the 13th-place matchup against No. 17 UC Santa Barbara, Santa Clara defeated the Gauchos for the first time in program history. Santa Clara also defeated Redlands on Saturday to go 2-2 over the tournament weekend.
Non-MPSF Tournament action saw Air Force head east over the weekend to take on Navy at the Bucknell Invitational. The Falcons fell in a close matchup in a battle for the Freedom Vase against the Midshipmen. At the Bucknell Invitational, Air Force went 2-1, with wins against Long Island and Gannon University. Over the weekend, junior utility Tom Leggett broke the Air Force all-time record for the most goals in program history, scoring his 343rd goal against Gannon.
