SAN BRUNO, Calif. – West Coast Conference cross country will be running all across the country this weekend.

Washington State men's cross country rank No. 23 in the national poll, while the Cougars' women's cross country team is No. 27 in the nation.
The Gonzaga women are receiving votes, as well.
This Week
Santa Clara and Gonzaga's women's squads will travel to Chicago to race in the 46th annual Sean Earl Loyola Lakefrontt Invitational on Friday. Gonzaga's men will race in the Whiteman Invitational in Walla Walla, Washington, on Saturday.
Pacific will host the Pacific Invitational on Friday, with Saint Mary's traveling to the Micke Grove Golf Course to race in the invitational.
Several West Coast Conference cross country teams will be in Salem, Oregon, on Saturday to run in the Charles Bowles Invite. LMU, Oregon State, Portland and Seattle U will all be in attendance.
San Diego will also run back east with the Toreros competing in the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
Last Week
Gonzaga's men, Oregon State, Portland's men, and Washington State all ran in the Gans Creek Classic, with Washington State's Solomon Kipchoge winning the men's gold 8k race and Rosemary Longisa winning the women's gold 6k at the Classic, respectively. Both were selected as this week's West Coast Conference Runners of the Week for their efforts, with both also breaking the course records with a 6k time of 19:07 and 8k time of 22:24.7. With eight nationally-ranked teams racing, Washington State's women placed ninth overall.
Saint Mary's women and San Francisco competed at the UC Riverside Invitaitonal last weekend. Both Dons men's and women's teams came in first overall at the invitational. San Francisco's Jessica Spillsbury won the women's individual title with a program-record 6k time of 20:19.0. On the men's side, the Dons' Herbie Johnson placed second while improving his best time with an 8k time of 23:35.6.
Portland's women competed at the Mike Johnson Classic in Monmouth, Oregon, on Saturday, coming in third overall. Leading the way for the Pilots was Lindsey Kaines, who placed 10th with a personal-best time of 21:25.5.
