SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara captured three of the four West Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week awards, with Cate Shanahan (Offensive), Allison Dzieciuch (Freshman) and Macy Hinshaw (Setter) collecting kudos for leading the Broncos to league victories over Portland and Seattle U. San Diego libero Lauren Lynch got the nod as Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in a 3-0 win over Denver.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CATE SHANAHAN, JR., OH – SANTA CLARA
Cate Shanahan averaged a whopping 5.33 kills per set while hitting .388 during the week, helping lead Santa Clara to back-to-back West Coast Conference sweeps of Portland and Seattle U on the road. Shanahan put down 14 kills with a .464 hitting percentage Thursday in a 3-0 victory at Portland. She also notched two service aces, four digs and a block in that match. Shanahan narrowly missed a double-double on Saturday at Seattle, totaling 18 kills in only three sets (6.00 k/s) and also collecting eight digs in another 3-0 win. She added two blocks and an assist against the Redhawks.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LAUREN LYNCH, SO., L – SAN DIEGO
Libero Lauren Lynch had a team-high 11 digs in Saturday's 3-0 win over Denver and passed all five serves she received without an error. She added four assists and an ace, and late in the first set she served three straight points for a 23-11 lead, setting up a Kierstyn Barton kill along the way and finishing the run with the ace.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – ALLISON DZIECIUCH, FR., MB – SANTA CLARA
Allison Dzieciuch averaged 3.67 kills per set and hit at an elite .528 clip for Santa Clara during the week across two West Coast Conference sweeps on the road. Dzieciuch tallied a season-high 13 kills while hitting a season-best .579 Thursday in a 3-0 win at Portland. She also had a solo block vs. the Pilots. She posted nine kills with only one error while hitting .471 Saturday in a 3-0 victory at Seattle. She also collected three blocks and a dig versus the Redhawks.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK – MACY HINSHAW, JR., S – SANTA CLARA
Macy Hinshaw was incredibly efficient for Santa Clara in back-to-back West Coast Conference sweeps on the road, averaging an impressive 12.67 assists and 3.83 digs per set. She had 37 assists and 14 digs Thursday in a 3-0 triumph at Portland for her seventh double-double in a row and 10th of the year. She also had a kill and a block vs. the Pilots. Hinshaw topped that Saturday with 39 assists in a 3-0 win at Seattle. She narrowly missed another double-double with nine digs, but added two kills, a service ace and a block against the Redhawks in an all-around performance.
