SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Loyola Marymount’s Maria Tabacuks won her second West Coast Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week award, while Saint Mary’s Gaels were named Defensive Player of the Week (Antonie Kelnarova) and Setter of the Week (Sadie White), and Portland’s Kalaweloilehua Chock collected her third Freshman of the Week accolade.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MARIA TABACUKS, SO., OH – LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
Maria Tabacuks captured her second Offensive Player of the Week award this season after leading Loyola Marymount to a 2-0 start in West Coast Conference play, totaling 41 kills, 4.56 kills per set and 42.5 points across nine sets in road wins over San Francisco and Santa Clara. Tabacuks opened conference play with a team-high 26 kills on a .306 hitting percentage while adding 10 digs and 26.5 points in LMU's five-set victory at San Francisco. She followed with another team-high 15 kills, eight digs and 16.0 points in a four-set win at Santa Clara. Tabacuks has now recorded at least 15 kills in four consecutive matches.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ANTONIE KELNAROVA, JR, OH – SAINT MARY’S
Normally known for her offensive prowess, the word of the week for Antonie Kelnarova was defense, leading Saint Mary’s to its first 2-0 start in conference play since 2022. Kelnarova led the Gaels in both matches in digs, tallying 37 on the week, including a career-best 20 in an upset win over San Diego that snapped the Toreros’ 20-match conference unbeaten streak.

Now a three-time Freshman of the Week, Kalaweloilehua Chock recorded 11 kills, six digs, one assist and one service ace and led Portland with three blocks in a 3-0 victory over Seattle U. The outside hitter leads her team in kills with 108.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK – SADIE WHITE, SO., S – SAINT MARY’S
Sadie White logged double-doubles three and four in a row this week, helping Saint Mary’s post its first 2-0 start in WCC play since 2022. The sophomore transfer has now clearly cemented herself as Setter 1 for the Gaels and did a bit of everything this week, with eight kills (one error) on 18 attempts, 86 assists, and 25 digs. Her four straight double-doubles are a new career-long streak.
