SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Pepperdine’s Julia Quinonez garnered her third West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award this season after leading the Waves to a win over Seattle U, while Saint Mary’s goalkeeper Kate Plachy collected her second Defensive Player of the Week honor after a shutout victory over San Francisco.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE WOMEN’S SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JULIA QUINONEZ, SR., F – PEPPERDINE
Julia Quinonez claimed her third West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week award of the season after scoring the game-winning goal in Pepperdine’s 3-1 win over Seattle U. The forward – who also notched an assist against the Redhawks – leads the WCC in points (18) and ranks second in the league in goals (11), game-winning goals (4) and shots on goal (1.82). She has also tallied the most live-action (non-penalty kick goals) in the league and has compiled a 0.833 shot on goal percentage.

Kate Plachy made six saves in what was her fourth complete shutout of the season as Saint Mary's beat San Francisco 3-0 on Friday, and the goalkeeper captured her second Defensive Player of the Week honor of 2026. The Gaels are one of two teams in the nation with nine shutouts and lead the WCC in that category as they picked up their seventh win of the season. Plachy owns a 0.64 goals-against average and brought her season save total to 30 after missing the early portion of the season. Saint Mary's extended its program record home unbeaten streak to 20 games.
