SAN BRUNO, Calif. – LMU and Seattle U split the first West Coast Conference Softball weekly honors of the 2026 season, as Taylor Fitch from Seattle U was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week and LMU's Lindsay O'Dell was tabbed the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TAYLOR FITCH, SR., IF – SEATTLE U
Taylor Fitch became the 14th Redhawk to tie a program record with four hits in a game during a 9-3 victory at Hawaii. The four hits were also a career best for Fitch. During a 23-7 win over North Dakota earlier in the weekend, Fitch notched another career high in runs scored with three, part of the program single-game record set that game by the Redhawks. Fitch batted .611 over five games last weekend (11-for-18), along with three home runs for a slugging percentage of 1.167.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK – LINDSAY O'DELL, SR. – LMU
In four appearances, Lindsay O’Dell went 2-0 with one save, a complete game victory and posted a perfect 0.00 ERA over 16.1 innings pitched while not allowing even an unearned run. She allowed only six hits all week and held opposing batters to a .111 batting average. She also recorded 15 strikeouts, averaging over six per game. In her 2026 debut, she notched a career-high eight strikeouts. She issued only three walks, allowed no extra-base hits and finished with an elite 0.55 WHIP.
