SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the fifth time this season and the second week in a row, Pepperdine swept this week's West Coast Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week awards. Chantal Sauvant won Singles Player of the Week, while Živa Falkner and Sonja Zhiyenbayeva won Doubles Team of the Week and Zhiyenbayeva also won Freshman of the Week for the seventh time this season.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE SINGLES PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CHANTAL SAUVANT, GR. – PEPPERDINE
Chantal Sauvant earned a pair of singles wins on the No. 4 court for the Waves last week. She earned her first career ranked win against NC State before earning another two-set victory against Cal Poly. This is the second time this season Sauvant has been named conference singles player of the week.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE DOUBLES TEAM OF THE WEEK – SONJA ZHIYENBAYEVA, FR., ŽIVA FALKNER, TR., PEPPERDINE
Živa Falkner and Sonja Zhiyenbayeva defeated the No. 2 ranked doubles tandem in the country in their lone match as a pair last week. The duo took down Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe from NC State, 6-3, improving to 7-1 on the season. This is the third time this season the pair has won conference doubles team of the week honors.

Sonja Zhiyenbayeva was part of a doubles team that earned a victory over the No. 2-ranked pair in the country to go along with a singles win on the No. 2 court last week. For the second time this season, Zhiyenbayeva has won conference freshman of the week three weeks in a row.
