Izzy Jamgotchian From LMU Named D1 Softball Mid Major Player Of The Week

Jamgotchian adds to her weekly accolades

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Izzy Jamgotchian from LMU has been named the D1 Softball Mid-Major Player of the Week as recently announced by the organization.
 
This is the second national weekly award for West Coast Conference softball this season. In addition to the national recognition, Jamgotchian also collected West Coast Conference Player of the Week accolades this week. Saint Mary's Odhi Vasquez owns the other conference national weekly honor. 
  
Izzy Jamgotchian led LMU to a sweep over Pacific. She batted .571 with a .750 on-base percentage and a 2.286 slugging percentage. All four of her hits were home runs. She also amassed 10 RBI, six runs and five walks across the three-game series. Jamgotchian belted a walk-off three-run home run in the series finale to secure the sweep. She broke the conference single-season walks record with 45, surpassing her own previous mark set last season. Jamgotchian reached base in nine of her 12 plate appearances. This is the first time this season that Jamgotchian won conference player of the week. 

Jamgotchia and the Lions battle Saint Mary's this weekend in a battle for first place in the West Coast Conference. LMU is enjoying an eight-game winning streak while Saint Mary's has won its last seven in a row.
