SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - No. 3 San Francisco kept the momentum rolling after eliminating No. 1 seed Gonzaga earlier in the day with an 10-6 win over No. 2 seed Pacific, 8-6 in an elimination game in the 2026 West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament from Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, Ariz.
With the win, the Dons advance to Saturday's championship game at 1 p.m. on ESPNU against No. 5 seed Saint Mary's. The Dons will need to defeat Saint Mary's twice in order to win the tournament championship.
The Dons will compete in their first West Coast Conference Baseball Tournament Championship game since the first year the conference adopted a tournament in 2013.
Pacific got on the board immediately with two runs in the top of the first before the Dons evened things up with runs in the second and third. Jayden Garrison doubled home Edison Esquivel and Zack Ramppen in the second to even the game at 2. In the third innings, USF took the lead behind a two-run single by Esquivel.
The Tigers answered right back in the bottom of the third with a two-run triple by Braeden Schnabel, and Schnabel later scored on a sac fly to give Pacific a 5-4 lead.
USF took the lead for good in the fourth thanks to a towering three-run homer by TJ Rogers. Garrison padded the lead with a solo homer in the sixth.
Isaiah Landry enjoyed a four-hit game. He notched two RBI on a double in the ninth inning to increase the USF lead to 10-6.
