GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Oregon State, 2026 West Coast Conference Rowing Champions, finished its 2026 campaign at the NCAA Rowing Championships at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Ga. this weekend. The Beavers earned an 18th overall finish, which was represented by its Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Four boats that all competed in the C Finals on Sunday.
On Friday, all of Oregon State’s boats raced in heats to determine where they would line up later in the day for the semifinals. Due to inclement weather, the semifinals scheduled for Saturday were held on Friday. Each of the three boats advanced to its C/D semifinals.
In the semifinals, all three of the Beavers’ boats finished in the top three to earn a spot in the C Finals on Sunday. OSU’s Varsity Four boat finished first in its semifinal heat with a time of 7:10.269. Oregon State’s Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight both finished third in each heat, respectively, with times of 6:24.925 and 6:36.539.
On Sunday, the Beavers’ Varsity Four boat raced first on championship day and earned a first-place finish in the C Final. The 6:53.095 time was good to earn Oregon State a 13th-place finish in the country. OSU’s Second Varsity Eight competed next, finishing sixth in the C Final with a 6:23.481 time. The Varsity Eight followed and placed fifth in the C Final with a time of 6:05.314 to close out the day for the Beavers. Once final scores were accumulated after the final races, Oregon State finished 17th with 38 points to cap off the season.
