Air Force and UC Davis Once Again Win Men's Water Polo Players of the Week

Wulfhorst repeats as Newcomer of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Tom Leggett of Air Force and Lucas Wulfhorst of UC Davis earned the first KAP7 West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo weekly awards of 2026. Leggett was named KAP7 West Coast Conference Player of the Week, while Wulfhorst earned KAP7 West Coast Conference Newcomer of the Week honors.
 
KAP7 WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JACK RICHARDS, SR. – AIR FORCE
Jack Richards scored 19 goals and nine assists for 28 points on the week He also earned six drawn exclusions, five steals and three field blocks. He notched six goals in a 19-16 win over Iona and two assists vs. No. 12 Princeton. He later tallied three goals, three assists, two assists and two field blocks in a 15-14 win over Johns Hopkins. He scored six goals and three assists in a 17-13 win over Mount St. Mary’s. He notched four goals and one assist in a 19-18 win over George Washington.

KAP7 WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S WATER POLO NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – LUCAS WULFHORST, FR. – UC DAVIS
Lucas Wulfhorst scored 17 goals across the five games during the Aggie Roundup over the weekend. Against No. 18 Harvard on Sunday morning, he scored seven total goals, tying him for the second most in a single game in program history. In those five games, four of them had Wulfhorst go for three or more goals.
