USF's Humphrey Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – San Francisco junior forward Ashley Humphrey has been named the West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Humphrey went on a scoring spree on the weekend with three goals, including the first game-winner of her career. For the week, Humphrey finished with six points on three goals while tallying five shots with three on goal for a .600 shots on goal percentage. 

In comeback tie against Cal State Fullerton, she scored the Dons' first goal of the game as they rallied back from 3-0 to finish with a tie against the Titans team that was receiving votes in the latest poll.  Sunday against UC Davis, she scored twice, the first coming in the 18th minute and then finished with the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute.
