LMU’s Charlton & Wood Sweep Men’s Soccer Weekly Honors

SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for September 7, 2021.
 
#WCCSPORTS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CREGGTON CHARLTON, SR., F – LMU
Senior forward Creggton Charlton scored the game winning goal in the No. 15 LMU Lions 2-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Friday night. With just under three minutes to go in overtime, Charlton fired a shot past the CSUF goalkeeper giving LMU the victory. For the week Charlton had one goal, two assists while putting up 10 shots with four shots on goal.

#WCCSPORTS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – CHRISTIAN WOOD, SR., D – LMU
Senior defender Christian Wood and the No. 15 LMU Lions went undefeated for the week and he provided the game winning assist in a 1-0 overtime win against UC Irvine on Sunday afternoon. Wood played every minute in the Lions two games over the weekend and anchors a defense that just surrendered one goal in 200 minutes on the pitch over their past two matches.
