SAN MATEO, Calif. – A tie against a top-10 opponent and two shutout victories highlighted this week's University Credit Union WCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors, with Santa Clara's Izzy D'Aquila earning Offensive Player of the Week honors and Gonzaga's Lyza Bosselmann taking Defensive Player of the Week recognition. 

This marks the first weekly honors for both Santa Clara and Gonzaga this season. 
 
UCU WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – IZZY D'AQUILA, SR., F – SANTA CLARA
Renewing the Bay Area rivalry against No. 9 Stanford on Sunday night through steady rainfall, D'Aquila helped the Broncos earn a 2-2 tie against the Cardinal, scoring both of the goals in the evening contest. She totaled four shots in the match.

UCU WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – LYZA BOSSELMANN, SR., GK – GONZAGA
Bosselmann recorded back-to-back shutout victories for the Bulldogs last weekend. She recorded seven saves in total over the two games, including three in a 3-0 win over Weber State and four in a 3-0 win over Idaho State.
