SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Santa Clara's Ashley Trierweiler only recorded one out during SCU's doubleheader at Fresno State, earning University Credit Union West Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week accolades, while BYU's Ailana Agbayani was stellar in relief for the Cougars to win UCU WCC Pitcher of the Week honors. 

UCU WCC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ASHLEY TRIERWEILER, JR., OF – SANTA CLARA
Ashley Trierweiler went 6-for-7 during a doubleheader split at Fresno State. In the first game, Trierweiler went 5-for-5 with 2 RBI, stole two bases and came around to score three times in SCU's 12-10 win. She posted three singles, a double and a triple. In the second game, Trierweiler went 1-for-2 with a single and a walk in her first two plate appearances. She's enjoying a 20-game hitting streak, while her batting average of .529 on the year ranks second in the nation. This is Trierweiler's first UCU WCC Player of the Week award this season, and the third for the Broncos as a team.

UCU WCC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – AILANA AGBAYANI, FR. – BYU
Starting shortstop Ailana Agbayani pitched eight innings in relief for BYU this week, including four and a third scoreless innings at LSU's Purple & Gold Challenge. The freshman earned the win in the Cougars' mid-week game at Utah Tech earlier in the week, giving up just two runs while going three and two-thirds innings and three strikeouts. In Baton Rouge, Agbayani was in the circle for the final three innings against NC State, striking out two batters and inducing a groundout to seal BYU's 1-0 win over the Wolfpack to conclude its trip to the Bayou. This is the third time BYU has won UCU WCC Pitcher of the Week honors this season.
