SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the second straight week LMU's Jenna Perez won University Credit Union West Coast Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, while Santa Clara's Ashley Trierweiler earned her second UCU WCC Softball WCC Player of the Week honor.
UCU WCC SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ASHLEY TRIERWEILER, JR., OF – SANTA CLARA
In four games last week, Ashley Trierweiler went 9-for-14 with seven runs scored and posted a slash line of .643/.700/.857 as the Broncos finished the week winning three out of four. She notched five hits on the road at California going 5-for-6 with three runs. She had a three-hit game in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against Pacific to help the Broncos earn a 3-2 walk-off win in nine innings. Trierweiler reached base a total of 14 times (nine hits, three walks and two hit by pitches) as she entered the weekend series against Pacific as the national leader (in Division I) in on-base percentage and raised it to .626 after the weekend. This is Trierweiler's second weekly honor and Santa Clara's fourth UCU WCC Player of the Week accolade.

UCU WCC SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – JENNA PEREZ, JR. – LMU
Jenna Perez earned UCU WCC Softball Pitcher of the Week honors for the third time this season, and second-straight week, after striking out 16 batters. She picked up two wins including a complete-game victory, helping the Lions take the series against Saint Mary's. She only gave up six hits total against the Gaels.
