Pries And Moore Earn WCC Volleyball Players Of The Week

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – After helping their teams earn back-to-back sweeps last weekend, Kylie Pries of San Diego won University Credit Union West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week while Jacquelyn Moore from LMU won University Credit Union WCC Defensive Player of the Week. 
 
UNIVERSITY CREDIT UNION WCC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KYLIE PRIES, SR., OH – SAN DIEGO
A strong week from Pries helped San Diego earning a pair of sweeps as she totaled 24 kills and six service aces while hitting at a .489 clip and averaging 4.00 kills per set. She began her week with four kills and two service aces while hitting .333 on Thursday night at Gonzaga, then set a match-high 20 kills and four service aces on Saturday afternoon at Portland while hitting .545 and averaging 6.67 kills per set. This is USD's third weekly Conference honor overall this season, and the second for offensive player of the week.

UNIVERSITY CREDIT UNION WCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – JACQUELYN MOORE, JR., MB – LMU
Jacquelyn Moore posted 16 kills and a total of 13 blocks. In the match against Portland, she garnered seven blocks and went 9-for-11 in kills; and had a hitting percentage of .818, contributing significantly to LMU's victory. Moore wrapped up the game with a total of 12.5 points. Facing Gonzaga, she continued her strong performance with six blocks and seven kills, accumulating 10 points. This is Moore's second Conference weekly honor of the season, and her first time winning defensive player of the week.
