SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – San Jose State swept this week's KAP7 WCC Men's Water Polo Players of the Week awards. Mateja Bosic was named KAP7 WCC Player of the Week, while Alexey Poletaev was named the KAP7 WCC Newcomer of the Week. These are San Jose State's first Conferece weekly awards this season.  
 
KAP7 WCC MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MATEJA BOSIc, JR. – SAN JOSE STATE
Mateja Bosic tallied 18 points in the Julian Fraser Memorial last week, on 10 goals and eight assists, leading the Spartans to a 3-0 record in the event. Against No. 13 Harvard, Bosic scored the game-winning goal with just four seconds left in overtime. He also recorded eight points in the game (five goals and three assists). Bosic also garnered an assist against No. 5 Fordham. Across all four games for the Spartans last week, Bosic amassed 10 goals, nine assists, six steals and drew six exclusions.

KAP7 WCC MEN'S WATER POLO NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – ALEXEY POLETAEV, SO. – SAN JOSE STATE
In net for all four the Spartans' games last week, Alexey Poletaev led SJSU to a 3-0 record at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament. Across all four games played last week, Poletaev recorded 35 saves and eight steals, including a 15-save and three-steal performance in the Spartans' win over No. 13 Harvard.
