SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has announced its Softball All-Academic Team for the 2024 season. This year’s 12-member first team encompasses WCC student-athletes who excelled both on the diamond and in the classroom.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to their team and in at least their second year at their school.
Eleven of the 12 student-athletes that landed on the all-academic first team roster boast a grade point average at 3.6 or higher. One graduate student, five seniors, two juniors, and four sophomores make up this year's WCC all-academic team. Saint Mary's and San Diego landed the most student-athletes on the first team tied with three while LMU, Pacific, and Santa Clara each had two make the all-academic first team. This is the third straight season that Rian Dirmeyer from Pacific and Courtney Rose of San Diego earned all-academic first team honors.
