SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Hazyl Gray from Santa Clara and Odhi Vasquez from Saint Mary's are this week's Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Softball Players of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. Two-way player Gray won Credit Union 1 WCC Player of the Week for the first time this season, while Odhi Vasquez earned Credit Union 1 WCC Pitcher of the Week honors for the third time this year.

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK – HAZYL GRAY, SO., P/UTL – SANTA CLARA
Hazyl Gray had a monstrous series against Pacific last week going 9-for-13 with three home runs and 12 RBI to help the Broncos take three out of four games. Five of her nine hits went for extra bases as Gray posted a slashline of .692/.733/1.538. In the series opening doubleheader on Friday, Gray hit a combined 7-for-7 with a pair of doubles and home runs while driving in nine runs. In the first game, she brought in the go-ahead run with a two RBI single to break a 1-all tie. The Broncos would go on and win 4-1. In the second game, Gray hit two three-run home runs in the 15-5 victory. In Saturday's game, she drove in the first run of the game and added a two-run home run later in the game in a 12-0 shutout. This is SCU's second-straight week taking a Credit Union 1 WCC softball weekly honor.

CREDIT UNION 1 WCC PITCHER OF THE WEEK – ODHI VASQUEZ, SO., P – SAINT MARY'S 
Odhi Vasquez worked a pair of complete game victories against the Toreros last weekend. She tossed her fourth complete game shutout of the year in the opener on Friday, with five strikeouts. She followed that up by bouncing back from a three run first to toss six scoreless frames on Sunday. The Gaels would defeat San Diego 8-3, sweeping the Toreros 4-0 in the series. SMC now owns the best Conference record at 8-4 headed into the final week of the regular season. This is Saint Mary's eighth Credit Union 1 WCC softball weekly honor won this season and the fifth CU1 WCC Pitcher of the Week accolade earned.
