SAN BRUNO, Calif. – After leading San José State with nine goals across two matches over the weekend, Sam Keightley earned the KAP7 West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo Newcomer of the Week, announced by the Conference on Tuesday. Scoring 10 goals in LMU's victory over No. 10 UC San Diego, Abel Romero Corbalan garnered the KAP7 West Coast Conference Men's Water Polo Newcomer of the Week.
 
KAP7 WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ABEL ROMERO CORBALAN, SR. – LMU
Abel Romero Corbalan led all Lions in their 18-14 victory over UC San Diego with 10 goals on 12 shots. This was the first time LMU beat the Tritons this season. This is Corbalan's first and LMU's fourth conference recognition this season.

KAP7 WEST COAST CONFERENCE MEN'S WATER POLO PLAYER & NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – SAM KEIGHTLEY, FR. – SAN JOSÉ STATE
Freshman Sam Keightley collected a team-high nine goals in the Spartan's two games last weekend. In the 14-7 victory over No. 15 California Baptist, Keightley scored five goals on six shots. He also led the team with four goals in the 11-9 loss to No. 16 UC Irvine. This is Keightley's and the Spartans' second-straight conference weekly honor.
