SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Saint Mary's swept this week's Heluva Good Dip West Coast Conference Softball Players of the Week, as Mia Zabat won Heluva Good Dip WCC Player of the Week and her teammate Odhi Vasquez earned Heluva Good Dip West Coast Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week.
HELUVA GOOD DIP WCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK – MIA ZABAT, FR., INF – SAINT MARY'S
Mia Zabat went 8-for-15 during the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. She logged a hit in every game over the weekend, scoring four times and driving in seven runs. She notched several extra base hits during the weekend, as well as her first collegiate stolen base. Her efforts helped the Gaels finish 4-1 over the weekend. This is the first time a Gael has won Conference Player of the Week this season.

HELUVA GOOD DIP WCC PITCHER OF THE WEEK – ODHI VASQUEZ, JR. – SAINT MARY'S
Odhi Vasquez tossed two complete game shutouts against two strong foes in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. First, against CSUF, Vasquez surrendered six hits, all singles, zero walks and struck out four. Then, against Northwestern, a team receiving votes, Vasquez took a no-hitter into the sixth and eventually finished with a two-hit, two-walk, six-strikeout complete game. She now boasts eight complete game shutouts in her career.
