SAN BRUNO, Calif. – LMU’s Izzy Jamgotchian and Santa Clara’s Hannah Edwards captured West Coast Conference Softball weekly honors, as Jamgotchian was named the Heluva Good Dip West Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week and Edwards earned the Heluva Good Dip West Coast Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week award.
HELUVA GOOD DIP WEST COAST CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – IZZY JAMGOTCHIAN, JR., C – LMU
Izzy Jamgotchian of LMU recorded a batting percentage of .667 and a slugging percentage of 1.667 for the week, which included three home runs and five RBI during the Lions’ sweep of Northern Colorado. Additionally, she recorded 18 putouts and two assists while also throwing out two baserunners. Jamgotchian has totaled eight home runs this season.

HELUVA GOOD DIP WEST COAST CONFERENCE SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – HANNAH EDWARDS, GR. – SANTA CLARA
Hannah Edwards of Santa Clara went 3-0 with a 1.47 ERA in her three appearances last week, totaling 19 innings pitched. Over the course of the weekend, Edwards struck out 15 and walked just two batters as Santa Clara came back from a 6-1 deficit against Princeton to earn the win. Edwards, who pitched at least 5.2 innings in each of her three appearances, did not give up more than two earned runs in any appearance this past weekend.
